My rating: 4 Stars

My opinion: LOVED IT!! Summertime Death is a prime example of why I LOVE Nordic Noir. This book was so incredibly twisted and unique in the author's style of writing that once I was able to adjust to the author's writing style, I couldn't put it down.  The author wrapped this book up with such a rockin' twist that my head exploded! OK...not literally, but I was like "DAMN!"  I immediately ordered the first in series from my library and threw the upcoming releases on my Goodread's TBR list.

The author utilized what another Goodread's reviewer/friend of mine identified as "stream of consciousness" writng. However, he doesn't identify whose "consciousness"  it is! While in the beginning, in general,  it was difficult to adjust to this plus the writer's "disconnected" writing, once I did, it added more mystery to the story.

On a final note, IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED BY SEXUAL DESCRIPTION/LANGUAGE/ETC....YOU MIGHT HAVE DIFFICULTIES WITH THIS BOOK. Just sayin'
